Bilbao connected to the coast

One of the great things about visiting Bilbao is its proximity to the coast and how easy it is to get to some of Bizkaia’s best known beaches on public transport. In less than an hour from the city centre, the metro connects Bilbao to vast sandy beaches and coastal landscapes that are ideal for enjoying the seaside all year round.

Among the most easily accessible beaches are Ereaga and Arrigunaga, both situated near metro stations in Getxo, as well as Plentzia, one of the most popular thanks to its extensive sandy beach and family atmosphere.
