La Concha, Ondarreta and Zurriola

Donostia/San Sebastián has three unique and charming beaches.

La Concha beach has been named the best beach in Spain and Europe on several occasions. It is, without a doubt, one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. Renowned for its beauty and tranquillity, its calm waters provide the perfect setting for a stroll, sunbathing or enjoying water sports such as kayaking, standup paddleboarding, sailing or scuba diving. From its famous balustrade, visitors can admire the island of Santa Clara and the hills surrounding the city, creating a landscape that blends nature with urban architecture.

Ondarreta beach is more family-friendly, and Zurriola is an international surfing hotspot. These three beaches offer all kinds of facilities and activities that allow you to enjoy the sea right in the heart of the city (showers, toilets, changing rooms). The classic blue and white awnings add charm to the seafront promenade and provide a setting for sports such as surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and sailing, amongst others.
