Bilbao

Bilbao has become an international benchmark for architecture thanks to the presence of buildings designed by some of the architects who have won the Pritzker Prize, considered the most prestigious award in the field. The city offers a truly fascinating architectural tour, one of its highlights being the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, designed by Frank Gehry, as well as Norman Foster, one of the city’s – and probably the world’s – most highly regarded architects. We have him to thank for the Bilbao metro, whose entrances are popularly known as “fosteritos” in his honour.

This tour also includes iconic buildings such as César Pelli’s Iberdrola Tower, Arata Isozaki’s Isozaki Atea Towers, Álvaro Siza’s Bizkaia Aretoa and the Deusto University Library designed by Rafael Moneo, amongst others.
