Zarautz

Zarautz

Vista Alegre Park is one of Zarautz’s most special green areas. A true haven of tranquillity right in the heart of the town centre, fitting historic gardens, architecture and nature into its 45,724-square-metre perimeter. With its footpaths, landscaped gardens and rest areas, it offers a stroll amongst the trees, flowers and beauty spots – perfect for reading, relaxing or simply taking in the scenery.

The park is home to 55 plant species and, from its neoclassical-style viewing point (known as the “Torreón”), built in 1913 by the Count of Villapadierna, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Zarautz and the coast, making the park a superb natural vantage point. An ideal place to leave the day's chores behind and enjoy some peace and quiet.
