Inland beaches with Blue Flag status

The Ullíbarri-Gamboa Reservoir, situated 15 km from Vitoria-Gasteiz, is an “inland sea” set in beautiful surroundings, where water, nature and leisure meet. It has two Blue Flag beaches: Landa and Garaio.

As well as swimming, we recommend walks along the shore, cycle rides along the paths surrounding the reservoir, picnics in designated areas, birdwatching and enjoying the scenery in places such as the nearby Mendixur Ornithological Park. If you enjoy water sports, you can also visit the two sailing clubs.

At the end of the day, the sunset over the reservoir bathes everything in a soft, warm light. A special moment that perfectly captures the feeling here: tranquillity, space and nature.

The reservoir can be reached by car, and there is a regular bus service between Vitoria-Gasteiz and Garaio Park during the summer months.
