Fine Arts at the Augustín Zulueta Palace
Vitoria-Gasteiz
The museum is situated inside Augustín Zulueta Palace, on the Paseo de la Senda. Built in 1912 as a luxury residence, this building invites you to travel back in time to experience the lifestyle and elegance of Vitoria-Gasteiz’s wealthiest families. Designed by the architects of the New Cathedral, Julián Apraiz and Javier de Luque, its eclectic façade blends Baroque, Romanesque and Neo-Basque elements, a sight that makes an immediate impression.
Once inside, stroll through the entrance hall, climb the grand carved wooden staircase and explore the museum’s permanent collection, which features works from the 18th and 19th centuries, Basque art from 1850 to 1950, and pieces on loan from the Prado Museum. The itinerary ends in the gardens, surrounded by willow trees, stairways and sculptures, where art and nature merge to create an unforgettable cultural and sensory experience.
