A beach that is open all year round

Zarautz beach, which is around 2,500 metres long, is the longest in Gipuzkoa and one of the region’s major tourist attractions. Famous for its waves and its surfing scene, it is open and accessible all year round, either for watersports or for simply relaxing by the sea.

Its seafront promenade provides a pleasant and lively setting for a stroll with plenty of leisure and culinary opportunities on hand, making it a popular meeting place for the people of Zarautz all year round.

What’s more, for those looking for a longer walk, there is a footbridge stretching for almost a kilometre alongside the beach over the biotope, and at the other end of the beach, a footpath runs alongside the sea as far as Getaria, offering the walker an ideal mix of nature, sport and relaxation.
